HOW DO I BOOK YOU?
Session can be booked up to a year in advance. To book your session all I require is a retainer fee of $50 to hold your date. For inclement weather, a rescheduled date is available and can be discussed with the photographer.
WHAT IS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?
Organic, In the Moment, Raw. I want to capture the REAL and perfectly imperfect photographs that tell the story of your life. I seek an approach that helps you relax and creates genuine and real {in the moment} experiences. When it comes to editing that is something I take great pride in. I can see an image an immediately know which lighting direction & stylistic approach to go with. Once I am around my client I get a feel for who they are and I adjust to what style fits their personality and my vision. I adjust color and exposure to match my style of photography and mood of the session. I know that we are our own worst critic but it's important to embrace ourselves and appreciate who we are as it is all part of your story.
HOW AND WHEN ARE OUR IMAGES DELIVERED?
Client galleries are delivered via viewing gallery 3-5 business days after your session {Excludes Weddings/Events}. If you'd like a "rush" on your images please let me know prior to booking. Wedding Clients: All edited photographs and galleries are delivered 6-8 weeks after Wedding date. Sneak Peeks will be provided for clients as soon as possible. Photos are delivered in JPEG format in an online gallery with print+share options, download capabilities, and print ordering options. Feel free to share your images with friends and family as well as on social media! {see below}
DO YOU TRAVEL?
YES! I love to travel and I'd be thrilled to come along to wherever you plan on tying the knot or needing a photographer for your special day! Local travel is concluded within 30 miles of Oklahoma City, OK. For photography events {Weddings, Events, Family Sessions, Engagements, etc} out of state or out of country all I ask is that you cover the cost of travel plus lodging and I'll be there at my normal rate!
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A PHOTOGRAPHER?
I've been photographing professionally for 15 years now and doing photography since 2001. I've photographed thousands of Weddings, Families, Children and Events through the years.
CAN WE SHARE OUR IMAGES ON SOCIAL MEDIA?
Please do! I retain the copyright to all of my images but please feel free to share them with family and friends. All I ask is that you credit my business page "Kimberly D Photography" when posting to Facebook or Instagram.
WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?
Any retainers and monies paid are non-refundable due to the nature of custom edits and retouching. If you need to reschedule your wedding or event please contact me as soon as possible to see if I have availability for your new requested date.
WHO DO YOU WORK WITH?
I am drawn to free-spirited and adventurous families and couples who aren't afraid to be themselves. I mesh really well with laid back folks who enjoy being in the moment and love the outdoors. I love ALL people and if you are nervous... I have an artistic approach that will make you feel completely comfortable. I also really enjoy offbeat couples and groups who are non-traditional and quirky who are looking for something different and out of the box. I am constantly trying new and exciting things to keep things fresh so if you've got any ideas I'm your girl and I probably want to photograph it. I am a Momma of three, come from a military family and I work with large groups all the time so there's nothing I can't handle. :) I want to also note that my business does NOT discriminate against POC, LGBT, or religious/non-religious persons. I'm more than happy to work with any and all types of people.

I photograph Headshots, Lifestyle, Weddings, Families, Engagements, Proposals, Seniors and Private VIP Events. *Please message for large corporate headshots and/or events*
HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I RECEIVE IN MY GALLERY?
You can expect 15 images per hour of shooting {or more} depending on your package. I always shoot unlimited photographs during each session and will edit and provide at least the minimum as stated in the "Prices" section. I will always give you the best of the best photograph for each session. If you would like Black & White photographs please make a notation when booking or at your session. Also please download your gallery within 60 business days from delivery.
WHAT SHOULD I (AS THE CLIENT) KNOW ABOUT YOUR PRICING: E.G, DISCOUNTS, FEES?
My pricing is based off of the quality of images that you will receive and thorough time on session with the photographer. I take great pride in giving my clients only the very BEST hand selected and fully edited images and service that they deserve. I do not send my photos off for editing, I spend 20-30+ minutes per images doing them myself. You will receive no less than 15 images in my basic session and 25+ images in my premium session. Your photographs are memories and I handle each image in the highest regard. I have had a 100% customer satisfaction rate and I have been photographing clients for over 15 years. I love my clients and I love capturing their moments through photographs.
WHAT IS YOUR TYPICAL PROCESS FOR WORKING WITH A NEW CUSTOMER?
You will receive an email or text within the same business day of your inquiry. I will 100% do everything I can to book your session and fill your requests myself. If I am BOOKED that day and/or time we can discuss an alternate day/time. I have a team of photographers on call to assist with 2nd photography, behind the scenes or videography. WHAT EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING DO YOU HAVE THAT RELATES TO YOUR WORK?
I have attended years of training in photography classes as well as cramming thousands of hours of online workshops. I have trained photographers throughout Oklahoma and helped build up future photographers in the state. I attended college starting in 2000 and studied in extensive editing as well as photography and videography.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED DOING THIS TYPE OF WORK?
I took up photography as a way of being able to "capture" and hold on to memories forever. I see so much BEAUTY through the lens and I am able to provide families and my couples with beautiful photographs! Each life milestone is an opportunity I can capture for you on photograph so that you can hold on to those memories forever. I feel so Blessed for this opportunity.

DESCRIBE A RECENT PROJECT YOU ARE FOND OF. HOW LONG DID IT TAKE?
I flew to photograph one of our former US Presidents for a VIP Event at the Mansion. Upon returning to Oklahoma I photographed two VIP events for a Magazine and ended with an INCREDIBLE Wedding in the most gorgeous vineyard!
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE A CLIENT LOOKING TO HIRE A PHOTOGRAPHER?
ALWAYS....Make sure you vibe well with the photographers work and style of photography. Also for {Family, Events, Children, Seniors, etc} make sure that they can deliver you a turnaround time of 3-5 business days {no longer}. Wedding clients should expect a turnaround time of 6-8 weeks with SNEAK peeks available within 24-48 hours. Ask if they outsource their editing or if they do it in house. Outsourced editing is inconsistent and if you have ANY issue, it will take several days to get addressed. I edit my clients photos ALL myself and can fix any flaws, minor adjustments, face swap, color grade, blemish control, etc. My turnaround time on my sessions is always 3-5 days.
WHAT QUESTIONS SHOULD CLIENTS THINK THROUGH BEFORE TALKING TO A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER ABOUT THEIR PROJECT?
You pay for what you get. If you want to save money $ and hire a photographer for 100-175 dollars don't expect high quality images or service. Wait and increase your budget so you can get a higher quality photographer who puts time and effort into your session. My Basic package is $299 and my Premium package is $375. {excludes Weddings} With Kimberly D, you will receive the time and respect your session deserves. Each of your images will be looked through and I will hand select the very best of the session. My editing process takes around 20-30+ minutes per photograph. I do not speed through my editing as my clients deserve only the best. Also, make sure you express your needs with your photographer or send a list of wants, questions to them before your session. Make sure you know up front what you will be charged for your session as a lot of photographers like to price low upfront and make you pay $$ extra after your session just to receive your images and/or print rights. Read the fine print and make sure you know EXACTLY what you are getting and how much you will be charged. {Kimberly D Photography} clients never pay any additional fees other than what is clearly stated on the invoice. Once you receive a portal and pay your invoice- that's it! Once we complete the session, you can sit back and relax!
